Happy Christmas, Theatrestorians! (Yes, this is Alina speaking, and yes, I did say CHRISTMAS)
I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving time filled with many, many things to be thankful for. I am sure that organizations such as BSO! were on the top of many people's lists... Why wouldn't it be? BSO! is working hard to speak out in behalf of members of the LGTB Community, and while it operates out of New York, there are other ways that all of you non-New Yorkers can get involved...
On the web: Accoding to Founding Director, Martin Gould Cummings, BSO! has launched a social networking site, much lie Theatrestory.com! The purpose of this site is to provide a place where members of the LTGB community can share their stories about Broadway, coming out, family and friends in a friendly, non-judgemental environment. You can check out the Broadway Speaks OUT! networking site at:

Across the world: In addition to a social netwroking site, BSO! will produce concerts in Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Chicago, Wilmington, D.C., and London, England starting in Spring 2010. According to Martin, BSO! will team up with actors in each of these cities who will perform to spread the BSO! message to other areas outside of New York City. Proceeds from each concert will benefit a local LGTB organization. Concert dates will be announced in early 2010.
Also, keep an eye out for details about the first gay pride event on the Eastern shore of Maryland. This event will take place in June 2010.
